Reflecting back on our recent Greenlight presentation, I feel like our team did a really good job. For the game we chose for Greenlight, Floppy Frog, I believe we made a good choice in selecting this game. Floppy Frog has the potential for expansion whether it be levels, new art, or new and unique programming aspects. Based on these aspects, this is why I believe our game was one of the chosen to expand after Greenlight.

For our Greenlight presentation, our designer and programmer spent a lot of time perfecting the presentation. They were the two in charge of creating our PowerPoint presentation, as well as representing our game during the class decision making progress. For presentations such as these, pulling “all-nighters” are common, which is what most of the people on our team did in order to make an engaging presentation.

Now that we are a couple weeks past our Greenlight presentation, I have personally learned the amount of time and effort that goes into making a decent Greenlight presentation. For this large presentation, I have learned that it is important for all team members to pull their weight. If one member of our team didn’t put a lot of effort into this presentation, our game most likely wouldn’t have been approved.

What came with the approval of our game, also came with the expansion of our team. Our team doubled after our game was Greenlit. We gained a second producer, two more programmers, and an artist. I think our additional members are good assets for our team. I think having two more programmers is the greatest asset for our game due to the tricky physics mechanics that are the basis of Floppy Frog. Additional members to any team can come with difficulties. Something that I have been working on personally is sharing work, and losing some of the control I have. This process has been helpful for me because we have split the artist work in half, therefore I have to share the work with anther person.

Based on how our meetings are going, I believe that our team, as well as our game, are advancing well. Everyone on the team is pushing and pulling the game with ease. All members on our team are also completing their designated work within a timely manner as well. Based on how our advances are going in our game, I believe our team will be able to produce a decent game.
