These past couple of weeks, the artists on our team, Floppy Frog, have made incredible progress on animations and implementing art assets into the game.

Throughout any teams progress there are typically challenges that everyone has to overcome. This helps all members within that team to grow as a team member and strengthen the team. These past few sprints our team has struggled with members being out due to family emergencies, as well as personal health problems. These types of challenges can come at any time.

Towards the beginning of these weeks, our team struggled with some amounts of communication. In a way, our team put some things on hold for the people who were out when, in reality, we should have kept moving along. This is something our team has worked on. Instead of other people stopping what they were working on and waiting for members to communicate with team members, we learned to move along and come back to unresolved issues. This way we still got assets put into the game and mechanical issues fixed within a timely manner. Since we have figured out how to communicate better amongst team members, we have been able to finish more tasks each week and create a more aesthetic and mechanically smooth game.

Other small issues that have appeared during these last couple weeks has been program and computer issues. Although some people weren’t able to always complete tasks, since we have fixed our communication issues, we have been able to change tasks and implement other assets and mechanics into the game. These types of skills are important to have within a game team because so much has to get done, and to completely stop a process and set back the game.
